  • Do you offer free roof inspections?

Yes. We offer free roof inspections for homeowners throughout the Twin Cities Metro. Whether you suspect hail damage, wind damage, or your roof is just aging, we’ll send a qualified expert to assess the condition of your roof, identify any issues, and provide a detailed report.

Our inspections are thorough and include:

    • Photos of damaged areas
    • Notes on material condition and life expectancy
    • Clear repair or replacement recommendations

There is no cost or obligation for this service.

  • How do I know if my roof has storm damage?

Storm damage isn’t always visible from the ground. If your neighborhood recently experienced hail, wind, or falling debris, your roof may have hidden damage.

    Signs of storm damage include:

    • Missing or lifted shingles
    • Granule loss on asphalt shingles
    • Dents in metal flashing or vents
    • Water stains on ceilings or in the attic
    • Leaks near roof penetrations (vents, chimneys)

If you’re unsure, we recommend booking a free inspection as soon as possible. Insurance claims must often be filed within a limited timeframe after the storm.

  • Will you help with my insurance claim?

Yes. Remac Construction has over a decade of experience working with insurance companies. We help you navigate the claim process from start to finish.

    Our insurance claim services include:

    • Inspecting and documenting damage
    • Creating reports and photo documentation
    • Meeting with your adjuster on-site
    • Reviewing the insurance scope of work
    • Handling supplements and claim negotiations
    • Completing the approved restoration

“They took the stress out of dealing with insurance. I didn’t even know what questions to ask my adjuster, but Luke and his team walked me through everything. The entire claim was handled professionally and fairly.”

    -Megan F.

  • How long does a roof replacement take?

Most residential roof replacements take one to two days, depending on size, materials, and weather. We provide a clear project timeline before starting and keep you updated throughout the process.

    We also make sure:

    • The property is protected during tear-off
    • Debris is cleaned up daily
    • Work areas are kept safe and organized

After the job is complete, we perform a thorough final walkthrough and inspection to confirm everything meets our standards.

  • Do you work year-round?

Yes, Remac Construction operates year-round and performs roof installations, inspections, and repairs in every season — as long as weather conditions are safe for our crews and the work can be done properly.

In Minnesota, late spring through fall is the most popular roofing season, but winter work is also possible. If you’re experiencing leaks or storm damage during colder months, we can provide temporary protection and schedule the permanent restoration when conditions improve.

  • What roofing materials do you offer?

We work with a variety of roofing materials to meet the unique needs of each client:

    • Architectural asphalt shingles: Durable, dimensional, and great curb appeal
    • Three-tab shingles: Budget-friendly with a clean look
    • Impact-resistant shingles: Designed for hail resistance
    • Metal roofing systems: Standing seam and corrugated for long-term protection
    • Designer shingles: Mimic the look of cedar shake or slate

Our experts will explain the benefits and costs of each option and help you choose the best solution for your home.

  • How do I choose the right color shingles?

Choosing the right shingle color is important for your home's appearance and value. We offer color consultations and show you real samples in natural light to help make the decision easier.

    Factors we consider:

    • Siding and trim colors
    • Neighborhood guidelines or HOA rules
    • Energy efficiency (light vs. dark tones)
    • Long-term resale appeal

We also encourage homeowners to browse our Project Gallery to see how different colors look on real homes in our service area.

  • Are your roofers licensed and insured?

Yes. Remac Construction is fully licensed and insured to perform roofing work in Minnesota. Our crews are trained, experienced, and follow all local codes and manufacturer specifications. We also carry liability and workers’ compensation insurance for your protection and peace of mind

  • Do you offer warranties?

Absolutely. We stand behind our work with both manufacturer warranties and a workmanship guarantee.

Most of the materials we install come with warranties ranging from 25 years to lifetime coverage. In addition, our workmanship warranty covers the quality of installation for a period specified in your contract — often 5 to 10 years or more.

We’ll go over your specific warranty coverage during the proposal stage.

  • What is re-roofing, and when is it a good option?

Re-roofing typically refers to installing a new layer of shingles over an existing one. However, at Remac Construction, we recommend complete tear-offs in most cases. This ensures we can inspect the decking, upgrade underlayments, and avoid future issues.

Tear-off and full replacement is the preferred method when:

    • The existing roof is damaged or uneven
    • There are multiple layers of roofing
    • You want the longest lifespan and best warranty

  • How soon can you start?

Our availability depends on the season and demand, but we aim to begin most roof replacements within 1 to 3 weeks of contract signing. Emergency repairs and storm damage services may begin sooner.

After your inspection, we’ll provide an exact timeline based on material availability, crew scheduling, and weather considerations.
